Fees
The underwater hockey year is broken into three terms:
- A fall term from September 1st to the end of January
- A spring term from February 1st to the end of June
- A summer term covering July and August
We then play twice a week, once on Mondays at Peter Hemmingway pool and once on Wednesdays at Kinsmen.
Fee Structure
Our fees are as follows:
- $100 per night, either Monday or Wednesday night for one term
- $50 per night for summers
- $20 once-yearly insurance fee paid in the fall
- $50 flat rate per term for fall or spring only.
Summer terms are usually charged at $40 per night depending on attendance and pools.
Payments are accepted via either Paypal, or preferably via Interac eTransfers.
Example: Working Age
Suppose you are a working age individual who plays only on Mondays and wish to play for the 20 Monday games during the Spring term, your fees would then be:
- $100 for Mondays
- $50 flat rate
Total: $150 for twenty one-hour games, or $7.14 per game
If you played on both Monday and Wednesday for the Spring term, you would pay:
- $100 for Mondays
- $100 for Wednesdays
- $50 flat rate
Total: $250 for fourty one-hour games, or $6.10 per game
If you become a regular member who played twice a week, then your fall fees would be:
- $100 for Mondays
- $100 for Wednesdays
- $50 flat rate
- $20 for Insurance
Total: $270 for forty one-hour games, or $5.60 per game
Example: Student
If you are a student, and you played once or twice a week, then your spring fee would be:
- $100 to play both Mondays and Wednesdays
- $50 flat fee
Total: $130 for fourty one-hour games, or $3.65 per game (and slightly higher in the fall because of the once yearly insurance)
A typical summer cost would be:
- $50 for eight one-hour games on Mondays for $6.25 per game
Total: $50
Bingos
For regular members, students eighteen or over, or parents of students, our club also works bingos roughly once a term for which we credit members $45 toward their fees. These fees also accumulate from term to term and help the club.
